Web development

Web development is the term that is used to denote the work associated with developing a website for internet or intranet usage. Internet is a public network and intranet is a private network. Web development is a very huge area and it can range from developing static or dynamic pages. A website is a collection of web pages. Each web page can be static or dynamic based on the contents and the requirement of the web page. A single web page is developed using many tools and all the web pages must be linked and connected to databases for the entire website to be functional.
Some of the activities that are associated with web development are web engineering, web content development, web design, client and server-side scripting, network security etc.
